Q: List Professional/Career Experience and why you chose your career path:
A: Pharmacy intern at Walgreens and Atrium Health Stanly Graduate Assistant at Wingate University School of Pharmacy. I have always had a passion for science while in high school. I loved chemistry and biology and found that I had a special talent academically. Pharmacy is all about chemistry and biology, so I thought this was the career path for me. And I love it.

Q: If you could go back and give yourself advice as a high school student, what advice would you give and why. What advice would you give to high school students today?
A: Appreciate the small town you grow up in and the ability to know everyone around you. If you go to a university, it’s not going to be that small town anymore, but it’s great to get out of your comfort zone. Make all of the connections you can while in high school so you can get where you want to be.

Q: Do you have a special memory from your time at North?
A: Making history with the 2013 varsity football team! First playoff win in school history & conference champions.

Q: How has your NWHS education and experiences positively impacted your life?
A: I must say that all of the staff at North has impacted me positively. Every teacher I had encouraged me to pursue what I had a passion for. Mr. (Mike) Greene served as a reference to get me into pharmacy school at Wingate. I know I could’ve asked any staff member to be a reference and he/she would’ve gladly done so. The staff at North is the reason why I am where I am today. And I can’t forget football memories. Pretty much everything I know about discipline came from all the coaches at North, and I’ll never stop reminiscing on those awesome memories.
