Q: List Professional/Career Experience and why you chose your career path:
A: My career was really sparked by a part time job at NWHS as a reading tutor. I had difficulty finding a job immediately after I finished college. I enjoyed the position as the part time reading tutor & it inspired me to go back to college to get my teaching license. I have taught High School Success & Health Education; served as a part time school counselor at our Alternative School and I am currently the Director of the 9th Grade Academy at Alexander Central High School.

Q: If you could go back and give yourself advice as a high school student, what advice would you give and why. What advice would you give to high school students today?
A: Explore careers! Get out & truly learn about what they do! When I was in high school the LAST thing I wanted to be was a teacher....once I experienced it I found a career that I truly love.

Q: How has your NWHS education and experiences positively impacted your life?
A: Playing sports, some really cool teachers, & fun friends!

A: Teacher of the Year 2008

Q: Any additional information about family, career, etc you would like to share?
A: I have been married to Jared Williams, another NWHS alumni, for 14 years. We didn't meet until well after high school even though we went to school together for 1 year.
