Q: List Professional/Career Experience and why you chose your career path:
A: I am currently the Director of the Wilkes Art Gallery. I choose to work in nonprofit work to make the community where I grew up and where I live a better place.

 

Q: If you could go back and give yourself advice as a high school student, what advice would you give and why. What advice would you give to high school students today?
A: Constantly be on the look out for what interests you and take every positive opportunity that comes your way.

 

Q: Do you have a special memory from your time at North?
A: My junior year I went to Europe with Mrs. Mullins and it was a life altering trip. That opportunity planted a seed of the love of travel for me.

 

Q: How has your NWHS education and experiences positively impacted your life?

A: Joining Key Club was one of the most memorable experiences for me at NWHS. Being part of a philanthropic group before graduating helped me to understand the needs in our community, the benefits of doing philanthropic work, and also gave me experience public speaking.

 

Q: Any additional information about family, career, etc you would like to share?
A: I am a mom of two boys and a foster daughter. I have been married for 11 years to my husband and we all recently moved back to Wilkes County after over 15 years of moving around the country.
