Nominations are considered each fall with inductions taking place in January. Nominations can be submitted at any time through the following link: Google Document. Once a person is nominated his/her name stays on the list for consideration and does not have to be nominated again.

Hall of Fame Guidelines

Teachers, Administrators and Staff

Teachers, Administrators and Staff members who have contributed to the overall success of the school and their students can be nominated for the Hall of Fame.
Faculty and staff must have spent at least 5 years at North Wilkes.
Nominees must wait 5 years after their last year at NWHS to be considered for the Hall of Fame.
Criteria for consideration: teaching awards, community service, accomplishments and contributions while at NWHS, character, and leadership.
Faculty coaches can be considered in this category but coaching is not necessarily the primary focus for this nominee.

Alumni

Individuals who have demonstrated excellence and achievement in the academic and artistic programs at North Wilkes High School can be nominated for the Hall of Fame.
Nominees must have spent at least two successive years and graduated from North Wilkes H.S. to be eligible.
Alumni cannot be considered for the Hall of Fame until ten years after their graduation.
Criteria for consideration: Character, Achievements and Awards while at North Wilkes High School, post-graduation service to the community and North Wilkes High School, and success in their post graduate profession.
These people can be former athletes but athletics is not the primary criteria for this nominee.

Athlete

Individuals who have demonstrated excellence in the athletic arena at North Wilkes.
Athletes must have spent at least two successive years and graduated from North Wilkes H.S.
Athletes cannot be considered for the Hall of Fame until ten years after their graduation.
Criteria for consideration: Character, athletic achievements and awards, college and university athletic experience.

Coach

Coaches who have contributed to the overall success of the athletic program as a whole or a sport can be nominated for the Hall of Fame.
Coaches must have spent at least 5 years as a coach at North Wilkes as head coach or assistant coach.
Coaches must wait until 5 years after their last year coaching at NWHS for consideration.
Criteria: accomplishments and contributions to North Wilkes athletics, character, awards and leadership.

Contributor

Individuals who have made great contributions to the scholastic, artistic and/or athletic programs can be considered for the Hall of Fame.
Criteria: ongoing contributions or several contributions, years of support, financial gifts, work in and for Viking programs.
