A: Registered Radiologic Technologist and Computed Tomography Technologist

 

Q: List Professional/Career Experience and why you chose your career path:
A: I work in the health care setting in the Radiology Department taking x-rays and CT scans which aide doctors in the diagnosis of various medical conditions. I came upon this field by accident while going through college brochures in the guidance counselor’s office. I was a senior who had no idea what career I wanted or what college would be best but something about the radiology program sounded very interesting. It continues to be a wonderful and fulfilling career.

 

Q: If you could go back and give yourself advice as a high school student, what advice would you give and why. What advice would you give to high school students today?
A: Advice for high school?- you get out what you put in. If you want good memories and forever friendships you must be active and participate and be friendly! Hind sight is 20/20, and I wish I had been more active and less focused on the negative.

 

Q: How has your NWHS education and experiences positively impacted your life?
A: Being a part of The Northlanders was a wonderful experience that pushed me to step outside my comfort zone and make some wonderful friends!

 

Q: List any other achievements and honors received since graduation you would like to share
A: Since high school I have earned 2 degrees in health care and started a small crochet business, however, my greatest accomplishment has been in becoming a mother to my 3 children.

 

Q: Any additional information about family, career, etc you would like to share?
A: My oldest child will be a freshman at NWHS this fall (current student) and I am excited to see him begin his Viking journey
