A: Undergoing several surgeries as a young child, I will never forget the nurses that cared for me. After being a nurse for over a decade, I realized I wanted to care for patients on a deeper level. As a nurse practitioner, I provide care for the community of Wilkes County, helping them make healthcare decisions that will better their health, and their lives

Q: If you could go back and give yourself advice as a high school student, what advice would you give and why. What advice would you give to high school students today?
A: As my dear husband always says, “The choices you make, dictate the life you live.” Always strive to be your best you. And most importantly, always be kind.

Q: List or share any special memory from North
A: The feeling of family was palpable. The students and staff were great. In particular, I’ll never forget Coach Melony Adams always telling me to reach for the stars and that I could do anything I set my mind to. And on hard days, I hear her voice in my head telling me just that.
