This is a very special event, as it will feature the debut performance of the New Musicians from our United Sound program! For those of you that are not familiar with the program, United Sound is a club that pairs some of our EC students from NWHS and NWMS with student mentors that teach them to play a musical instrument of their choice using a modified curriculum. United Sound is a national organization, and North Wilkes is the first public school to offer this program in NC. The concert will also feature other selections from the NWHS Band, as well as our NWMS bands.
Admission is free, but we are asking all who are able to donate boxes of cereal to help fight hunger in the community. We will also have concessions available (cash only, first-come first-serve) including Chick-Fil-A sandwiches, beverages, desserts, and more, so plan to arrive early and partake. The band booster club receives 100% of the profit!
