Good evening Viking families,
Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is hosting Heart of a Champion Day on May 18th. Heart of a Champion Day is an annual, free, sports-specific health screening for student-athletes entering grades 9 through 12. At this event, student-athletes will receive a free sport(s) physical, including a heart screen. This heart screening increases the chance of detecting a heart problem that could affect the ability to safely participate in sports. Heart of a Champion Day will be held at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist West Park Orthopaedics, in North Wilkesboro, on Saturday, May 18 from 9:00 am-noon. For additional information and to sign up please look for the posters around school or talk with the athletic trainer.
Seniors have a required meeting on Wednesday at 10 am in the Senior Cafeteria. All Seniors must attend, including Early Grads. You will receive information about graduation, cap and gown pictures, MerleFest, and all other Senior events. MerleFest is Friday, Seniors must be passing all classes in order to be eligible to attend.
If you attend MerleFest be sure to swing by the food tent and support our Athletic Booster Club. This is their biggest fundraiser of the year and they are one of the most popular food vendors at this event.
